A little about me

An eclectic mix…

I’m a Melbourne-based CD/Copywriter with almost 30 years’ experience in helping brands communicate, connect and engage with audiences of every size and type and in all sorts of ways. I’m currently working with agencies right cross the comms spectrum and am always interested in collaborating with people and places doing interesting things.

I’ve worked in South Africa, the UK and Australia for some of the world’s biggest and best-known brands across the worlds of advertising, design, in-house retail, brand experiences, events, PR, internal comms and employee engagement.

In that time, I’ve created ad campaigns, immersive art galleries; hard-hitting issue-led CSR campaigns; multi-story expo stands packed with technology; global launches and roadshows; numerous employee engagement, EVP and culture programs; dozens of conferences; brand experiences; sponsorship activations; in-store promos; retail design and a lot, lot more.

Some places typically find this variety hard to label and I often get pigeonholed as the ‘activation/experiential’ guy. While it’s true that’s a big chunk of my story, I really just love figuring out powerful, unexpected and effective ways for businesses to connect with their various audiences - regardless of the media or discipline involved.
